What is a financial ratio?

Now i am trying to swallow all these financing terms and try to keep it up in mind till the end of this semester..It's so hard and tiring to understanding totally the theory behind all these and even in engineering we do not have to face such complicated explanation, eventhough I have enough memorization on ethics, materials, fluids, thermo, etc and etc. Economy, financing, marketing all these seems to be the other side of the world for me..Hard to communicate or to get what they are trying to do..Maybe math still the better one, if the answer is wrong, then it's wrong, and vice versa, no middle way out and basically no dilemma!!This word i have wrote it over and over in memorizing the notes for ethics..Haha.
